Great point, you have to love what you do… Spending a lot of time in front of the computer, creating websites, writing content and so on, has to be fun if you want to become successful. It will take time and persistency… and only if you enjoy what you do will you stick with it!

I like “in the hot seat” series. I am interested in reading stories about people who blog for a living, how they started, what kind of challenges they had and any advice they might give. I am very new to this but I can tell you I would like to learn and get good, really good at it. I am not doing it from desperation as I sense how some people would definitely want to get out of the rat race and think blogging overnight can do it for them. I don’t want to go back to the office either and work for someone else but I like what I am doing now. The creative part – designing my website, creating content, finding my unique gifts. I love it and I enjoy it! Do I want to be successful, heck yeah! But I want to have fun with it too!

Yes, being consistent is so important. Like you say doing a little bit everyday, moving forward in the right direction will eventually take you to your goals. It does take time, but it’s well worth it!

Thanks for for running this series, It is really helpful for me to read other peoples experiences with online marketing.

Chris, you nailed it with ‘consistency is the key’. I think a lot of people want to get in fast and see results quickly. We all do! But I am finding that reality is that you are building a business, and that takes time. You just need to do a bit every day (well, most days) and just stick with it. If you consistently take action, you will see results eventually.

You have be consistant, and persistant!
