Twitter is getting worse and worse by the year. It used to be a fun place to connect with people., but hey are getting to be real A-holes about their rules. They will ban you for doing nothing and there’s no way to contact anyone live for support. if they have so much $$$ and so many users, they should have a live support help chat, where you can get actual assistance if you get wrongfully suspended. I got wrongfully suspended when I posted that not wearing a mask and social distancing by idiot MAGA folks is leading to an increase in the Virus outbreak. And some Trumpers / conservatives reported me to twitter for “Hate speech” and “Harassment” as soon as twitter sees Hate speech you are cooked. THey suspend you without even messaging you and asking what is going on. They don’t care. Twitter is not worth it any more. – Yeah its cool, you can connect with radio hosts, and celebrities, but then when you tweet too much they report you and you become a “Spammer” in the eyes of Twitter. They also have stupid follow limits – of 5000 people. max. – which is stupid in this day and age when people use social media to connect. Yeah its cool to meet some people on twitter, and interact, but its more of a headache hassle, if you say one wrong word or even something that seems like its wrong to twitter, you end up suspnded and good luck getting your account back. Then when you get a new account to try to get back on they ban you for making multiple accounts and you’re perm banned. Its ridiculous, when I did nothing wrong in the first place, but I have no one to plead my case to and I can’t contact anyone for help. Twitter is no longer worth it. they will ban you for any reason.

Hi Vicky,

I am actually pretty much a dab hand at Twitter – then I did spend an hour a day for a whole year reverse engineering it. There are few tips I would share.

1) Tweet with pics/video (bigger and more noticeable)
2) Best engangement is surprisingly with just 2 hastags
3) Pin one of your mail piller/ladder posts to your profile (pinned post get awesome traction!)
4) Join in relevant conversations using the search feature.
5) Use the welcome tweet feature if your are using an app that permits that!
6) Share (retweet) other peoples content, even your peers/rivals.
7) Tweet your content , be it a post or review at a max 5%-10%

Great to hear you are on the Pinterest bandwagon, I done not to bad with them last year. Worked awesome for a very non-social media freindly niche due to having no news feed (i.e Jane shared/retweeted/liked xyz site and her friends being able to see that!).

At 85 you should be doing what makes you happy! (Although I don’t agree with the comment about you being a lousy internet marketer.)

Good article with from my experience is expected results. i always tweeted post and pages when i was writing. I’ve now retired from writing, even updating my sites. I’m 85 now and do not want to spend what time I have left fiddling with Internet marketing which I am lousy at. i’m spending my time painting and reading. This will be my last year at wA. I’ve been letting domains die and will park the rest until they expire. Hope you and yours are well. John
