Try to explain to your spouse what it is you are doing. If your spouse has an understanding of what you do then it will be easier to involve your spouse in your business. Don`t be afraid to discuss ideas and suggestions, even if they don`t know all the ins and outs of affiliate marketing, s/he can still have great ideas and suggestions that can help you and your business. I enjoy discussing new ideas with my husband. Working by yourself can be lonely so involving your spouse can make it more fun.

2. Share Ups and Downs

Share your successes but also your down periods. Celebrate when you reach your goals and ask for a shoulder when things might not go your way. I am pretty hard on myself and if thing does not turn out the way I want to, I can get down. My husband then always remind me of what I have accomplished and created, all by myself…

To be honest I don`t think I could have done it without his support.

3. Be Honest with Your Spouse

Always be honest with your spouse. If you have a bad month don`t hide it, share it. Don`t say you have made money if you have not, wait for the moment to share that with him or her.

4. Be Realistic with Your Spouse

Be realistic with your self and your spouse. It will take time and effort to get your affiliate marketing business working and off the ground. It might take a few months before you start making money, know that and don`t hide that from your spouse. Commit to the time and effort it will take to make it work.

5. Schedule Your Time

If you work from home, sit down and create a schedule when you can work on your online business that will work for you, your spouse and family. Having a set time when you can work will help you move your business in the right direction.
