Have you thought about doing affiliate marketing?

I know that sometimes you are in a situation where you need a job to get paid directly. You have to pay your bills and put food on the table. I also know that combining the two can be your ticket to do affiliate marketing full time one day.

For me I was in a situation were, I committed to affiliate marketing because I did not want to take on a job. Don`t get me wrong for some people working a job is the way to go. For me I wanted to work for myself. Here are my reasons to why I choose affiliate marketing instead of a job.

5 Reasons to Choose Affiliate Marketing Instead of a “Job”

1. Be in Charge of Your Own Time

When you do affiliate marketing you set your own work schedule you work when you want to. Don`t get me wrong you have to put your hours in or you won`t have an affiliate business. Nobody cares though if you work 80 hours one week and 12 the next… If you work at night and take care of your kids during the day… If you work 300 hours one month and take the next month off… You are in charge of your time.

As long as the schedule work for you and your work gets done, you should see good results.

2. Nobody Else Tells You How Much You Can Make

Have you worked a job where the pay was kind of limited? You didn`t feel that you had the opportunity to make more money even though you worked hard?

When you work for yourself, when you do affiliate marketing for example, there is nobody else telling you how much you should make. It`s up to you. This can be hard in the beginning. You feel that you put in all this time but the return in the beginning is not much. We all start with a sale here and a sale there. If you keep at it you will reach a tipping point where you see more money coming in. The more your learn, the more you test, the more you work, the more you implement…

Set your goals, break them down into tasks and make it happen.

With affiliate marketing there is no limited income, nobody else tells you what you`re worth.

3. Work From Where Ever You Want

Work from your kitchen table or set up your office at Starbucks. It can also mean that you bring your business with you to the playground, to the beach, on your travels… bring your computer and you can get work done where ever you are…

4.  Work with Topics That Interest You

Working with affiliate marketing you set up websites on topics you enjoy. This means that you can take hobbies and interests that you enjoy talking and writing about and turn them into a website. 5. Set Up a System and Let It Work For You

When you`ve been doing this for a while you will learn what works well for you and your business. Set up a system that works for you, rinse repeat and form it the way you want it.

In my own case I work when the kids are in school. This means that I put a lot of hours in during the semesters but when the kids are off I take time off too. It works great for our family and I get to spend lots of quality time with my kids.

Also the more quality content you put out there the more content that can convert for you. Over time you build your own small content empire, if you submit good helpful content on a regular basis.
