4 Dads Share Their Online Success Stories

There are many dads, with the dream of spending more time with their kids. To build a better future for themselves and their family. The opportunity to make money online is there for anybody willing to put in the work, effort and time.

I have talked to 4 dads that has created their own success stories. 4 great dads that are making money online. I share their stories below….

Kyle`s Story

First out we have Kyle, he`s the father of a 22 month old daughter. Kyle is one of the owners of a successful online marketing training center called Wealthy Affiliate. This is what he has to say about being a dad and working online.

Next up we have Tony, online he is also called mission0ps. Tony is a dad of 2, one boy and one girl. He`s been working successfully online since 2009. With spending time in both the UK and Sweden, he needs a flexible living…

Like many wealthy affiliates my success comes right off the back off a failure.

I used to dropship products from the US to the UK I made a little money but Drop shipping wasn’t really my thing. Then October 2008 I paid £6500 for a training course that was essentially an overview of eBay. A massive scam and I lost all my savings.

What made it even worse was that by December I was made redundant and out of a job.

However with a young family and the new house money and how to get more was at the forefront of my mind.

That’s when I came across wealthy affiliate.

I remember my first few weeks at wealthy affiliate were intense and a massive learning curve. I didn’t know what an affiliate was really and had no idea of how to form links or build websites. However just as now, there was some easy to follow structured training that kept me focussed.

I remember it was about mid-February 2009 but I was sitting up in bed with my partner talking about how much work I was putting into this new online affiliate business. Less than six weeks before I had no knowledge of online marketing at all.

It’s only dawned on me that Saturday morning in February but I didn’t know how to check if I had earn’t any commissions.

I quickly do a little research and found how I could check to see if I had any commissions on clickbank.

I literally screamed from the bed and just couldn’t stop grinning. In my clickbank account which was only 6 weeks old I had amassed are some of $587.

It was a life changing amounts not because of its value but because of what it represented. I knew that I had this money purely because I follow the training step by step. I was getting an education in online marketing and it was already paying for itself.

Over six years later I have no regrets. Wealthy affiliate changed my life … if you’d like to get help in changing yours… That’s what we’re here for!

Mark`s Story

Mark, is the father of 3 great boys, he lives with his wife and sons in Scotland.  Mark wants to show his boys that it`s possible to achieve their own success, to invest in their future. This is Marks story…

I’m lucky, in that I’m a programmer. I wrote a web program to help me do something once (it was document management of sorts), and realized others could use the program too.

So I uploaded it, and started selling it. Over and over and over again.

I wrote other programs and did the same…

Then I wrote a hotel booking program, and rather than a one off fee, I hosted it on my server – and charged a monthly fee to hotels for using it, and helping to manage their bookings.

That was 12 years or so ago now, and although the one off programs have all but stopped (due to so many free services out there now), my hotel booking program is still running, and still generating monthly income all these years later.

I’ve done a few websites over the years too – but rather than one off fees for doing it – my offer is a monthly hosting and maintenance package, where I take care of all of the updates, and provide one hour of my time per month. If the client wants more changes, I charge them for them – it’s my time after-all – any business would charge for their services.

Of course after coming to WA, I did the affiliate bootcamp to learn what marketing is.

So now as well as my booking program, I have a number of other sites – one my better half runs, selling word-art frames. I have another selling clan clocks, and others managing tour bookings and so on.

My latest is finally around one of my passions – and although in its early stages, has the potential to be monetized at some point. for now, I’m happy just to keep posting to it, and keep my other sites/programs up to date.

I’m happy, I have a wonderful family – and I’m generating a good lifestyle income.

I may not have done it the right way, and I’ve certainly made a lot of mistakes – but you don’t learn unless you make them imho.

Dad of 5

Last out is a father of 5, born and raised in Boston MA but currently living in Iceland. This is his story:

I have been a stay at home dad for nearly 3 years now. Ever since I left the 9-5 racket (more like 12-12 rotating shifts racket) I was able to finally focus on my studies, network marketing, training, and a host of business endeavors, but the most important thing, I have been there on a regular basis for my kids (Father of 5 with age ranges of 5, 9, 12, 15 and 19).

Once I was able to reorganize, and prioritize, everything has been so much better. I keep myself busy ( 8 years of the Army can put you in that mindset), and living in Iceland in a really, tiny town, and not much to do, all of my endeavors are getting accomplished.

I am a Personal Trainer. Finishing up my Associates Degree in Exercise Science, and taking other certifications such as Mind/Body/Spirit Fitness, Personal Fitness Chef, Tactix Martial Arts and Business Certification, Physique and Figure Certification (which I just completed). Enrolling later in the year to get my Bachelors, planning a move back to the states to my home town of Boston, searching for a franchise gym to purchase, and I am affiliated with Purium Health Products, and will be hosting my own fitness event in the future. A lot, but I have everything planned and organized! 🙂

At this point I jumped in and asked – how do you make money online?
