For my Amazon case study site, I use a plugin called EasyAzon. This plugin saves me a ton of time submitting amazon links, images, and info blocks. It also helps me maximize earnings. I’ve had the great result with it and I highly recommend it.

The plugin has created a lot of questions from my readers so I thought we’ll do an EasyAzon Questions and Answers post to try and clear a few things up.

 

What Is EasyAzon?

EasyAzon is a WordPress plugin that saves you time allowing you to add amazon links, images and info blocks directly from your WordPress post edit page. No need to leave your own website to go hunt for links.

It also helps you maximize earnings using the link localization so no international traffic and sales go to waste.

1. Saves you a lot of time, inserting links, images and info blocks directly from your site.
2. Maximize earnings and let no traffic or sales go to waste. It makes it easy to monetize international traffic.
3. Display correct images using ASIN (copy and paste images from Amazon does break their rules).
4. Display pop-up windows with product image and price, when somebody hovers over an amazon link.
5. The option of adding products directly to a cart which gives you a 90 day cookie time instead of 24 hours.

I’ve gotten a lot of questions so let’s dive in and answer some of them.

 

EasyAzon Q&A

The first question is from Ron.

Q: I live in South Africa, will I be able to make money from Amazon without installing the plugin?

A: At this point, Amazon has affiliate programs in the following countries,

USA, Canada, United Kingdom, China, Spain, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, and India. You have to be a residence of India to be an affiliate.

So Ron could work with those countries except India.

It’s very possible to make money without the EasyAzon plugin when I first started out I didn’t even know about the plugin.

BUT since I started to use it, it has saved me a ton of time. Conversions are also better, the pop-ups and the info blocks convert really well.

 

Next question is from Lauren

Question:

A: Yes, you pay a one-time fee of $47 and you can use it on unlimited personal websites.

The links that you have already created, you have two options.

1. Leave them as is, although you would not get the EasyAzon benefits. You can also leave the ones you have but add some extra EasyAzon link, images and info blocks.
2. Change the links to the EasyAzon links and get all the benefits.

Question:

 

Will it slow down your site?

A: For me not at all, in fact, I find it almost the opposite because I don’t have a lot of images stored on the site, they get pulled directly from amazon with EasyAzon.

Images do take up a lot of storage and can slow down your site so this is another advantage of EasyAzon.

Here’s a question from Derek.

Q: Question on the add to cart. Do you use that facility with the software on your case study niche site?

Also what happens if the add to cart does not happen? I realize no 89-day cookie but will we still get the 24-hour cookie?

A: Let me first clarify if you are new to the plugin. There’s a function that you can use with EasyAzon that will put the item directly in your visitor’s cart over at amazon. So if the visitor clicks the link, the item will automatically be added to the amazon cart. What this does is give you a 90 day cookie time instead of just the 24 hour one.

If the item is added to the cart but removed you still get the 24-hour cookie duration.

Personally, I don’t use the add to cart function at the moment, it’s something I do want to test out, though. I just look at my own experience. I like to read the merchant page before checking out an item.

I prefer sending my visitors to the merchant page instead of directly to add to cart.
