Local Marketing My New Adventure

 

My latest passion with Internet Marketing is local marketing. I came to a point where I felt that I wanted a bigger purpose with my business. Don`t get me wrong you can get all the purpose you want with affiliate marketing, that has been my focus the last years. But I felt that I wanted to get more personal, I wanted to make a difference and again you can do this with affiliate marketing but if you focus on building websites like I did it sometimes get lonely.

 

I got an email from one of my friends the other day telling me about their company party they just had. I was thinking of my own situation, working by myself in front of the computer, not gona be a crazy wild company party here lol. I am glad I got my buddies over at Wealthy Affiliate, I might have an online company party with them over the chat.

 

I wanted to work in closer relationships with people. I also wanted to see the difference I can make first hand. When you recommend a product or a service as an affiliate you seldom get to see how that helped that person. The perfect solution for me is local marketing. I still get the benefits of working on the computer, setting my own hours + I now work closer with local business owners.

What do I mean with local marketing?

Local marketing is helping local businesses with their online presens it can be creating a website for them or ranking a YouTube video or setting up a Facebook account. Helping local businesses with online marketing.

It is very rewarding to see first hand how you can help local businesses with their online marketing. A lot of small businesses struggle in todays economy and to be able to help them get more clients and possibly save their business, is a great feeling. I still do affiliate marketing, still love it that is probably something I always will spend some of my time doing.

 

The great thing is that everything I have learned over the years with affiliate marketing can be applied to helping local business owners. In fact ranking websites is easier and less competitive in the local market.

 

I have now found the perfect mix, working with online marketing in close relationships with my clients helping them get more customers to walk in the door or call their office. I have found a bigger purpose in helping local business owners in a tough economy.

 

I get to all this and still stay home with my kids, life is good!
