Empower Network (EN) is a service which promises to make internet marketing lucrative for users. But does it?

The endless marketing of this product has made people wonder whether it is legit or not.

Do people actually make money with Empower Network?

Even though there are enough negative reviews about it over the internet, I’m still going to review this program and look at the aim of the program, pricing, and other information you need to know.

Verdict: I have a hard time getting past that you pay monthly for a website that you don`t even own… when you can set a website up for yourself, that you own and have 100% control of.

What Does The Program Do?

It claims to help its members earn money with just a little investment and effort, which is an opportunity everyone would love to seize.

They provide educational training products, marketing software products, and tools, including a blogging platform known as Kalatu Blogging System.

It also has an affiliate program which pays a commission to members (using a somewhat shady pyramid model) to help them make some amount of money from home.

This is a modern MLM multi-level marketing program, promoting their own online marketing products.

 

Who is Behind Empower Network?

The brains behind this program are two gentlemen known as David Wood & David Sharpe. They are probably some internet marketing gurus who just decided to “empower” small businesses back in 2011.

When I land on their website, a video with Dave Wood starts playing.

Dave starts out with a fancy ring, but at least he states that they can not guarantee any type of income. I like the honesty of that. But is this just “false”?

Before we get into the training and the Empower Network program let`s take a closer look at the numbers.

Do People Make Money with Empower Network?

I think this is important so I will just dive right into this. This is numbers taken from their own website provided by Empower Network themselves.

This is stat from 2013 – 2015.

The numbers provided are based on people making money. So we have actually no idea of how many work with this program and make no money at all. Now that would be an interesting number.

60% of active affiliates, active means that they are qualified to earn a commission (meaning they have paid a fee) makes less than $100.

21% of the people making money make between $100 – $249 / month.

This will not even cover the expenses.

This means that over 80% that do make money, don`t make enough to even cover the expenses.

In the fine print it says:

The average affiliate spends between $500 and $3,000 in expenses as they build their business. Less than 4% earns sufficient commissions to cover their costs of the Empower Network products.

Looking at the numbers, this might be an uphill battle…

The Program/Training

There are different levels of the training program offered by Empower – each level with its own pricing. The type of training you get here is dependent on who you are affiliated to in this program.

The materials available to you for your training is based on your membership level. The materials don’t actually provide you with the information you ought to know. They are merely centered around enabling you to promote empower network to others. So the way you make money is selling their products to others.

Let’s take a look at the training materials at the various levels.

Kalatu Basic

This first level of membership provides you with the Empower Network blogging platform known as Kalatu Basic. What you get here is a website ready to go.

It doesn`t say if this blog that you get is unique… Today having a blog or website with unique content is very important for your visitors. It`s also important for Google and other search engines to be able to rank your website.

If you are not on this level, you can’t access the higher ones.

This will cost you $25 / month. This is for a website that you do NOT own, it`s kind of like renting a site. When you stop paying it`s gone. For this reason alone I would never recommend this program.

There are much better blogging solutions out there. You can get a FREE website, that`s yours. Yes, free.

You can also for about $6 / month set up your own site on your own domain and hosting that YOU OWN.

 

The Inner Circle Membership

At this membership level, you have access to a library of audio tapes. They contain hundreds of hours of conference calls where the founders, leaders, and members of Empower talk about how they make so much money in a month.

This will cost you $100/ month.

 

Top Producer Formula

This set of lessons is made of a series of videos which talk about various marketing strategies and ways to approach online leads or audiences.

This will cost you $500.

 

Team Building Formula

This level gives members hours of technical training courses, teaching members how to market online. Here, you get lessons you need in building your marketing business online.

This will cost you $1000.

Mass Influence Retreat

This is the graduate level and it can be yours for $3500

Although this program gives really good strategies for a successful online business, their main focus is training you to Empower other people.

You need to buy the exact product you are asked to buy, else you won’t get any commission if your affiliates should buy your product. All the stuff you buy goes to your up lines and their uplines – it goes in that order.

There is also an administrative fee of $19.95 monthly to become an affiliate.

I would never pay to promote somebody else`s products.

How Do You Make Money with Empower Network?

So promoting and selling these programs is the way to make money. You earn 70% on most products. You can check out the compensation plan here.

I find it more effective to set up and promote a site on a topic that I personally enjoy, not to promote a “money making system” that most people don`t succeed with.

You can start a website on any topic and turn it into a profitable business. Like dogs? Start a blog about dogs. Like fashion? Start a fashion blog… Why limit yourself to promote the Empower network products. 

 

Community and Help

There is no dedicated training or support community offered. All you get are training materials which offer not so much information you may need.

It’s impossible to contact the owners directly and many members are looked down upon and called by vulgar names by their team leaders if they don’t buy all their low-grade products.

If you want a program with a dedicated support system, Empower Network is just not for you. You need to be ruthless in order to make it big in this program.

 

Price

Be ready to spend a lot of money on this program.

• $19.99/month for an e-wallet
• $100/month for Inner Circle
• $500 for Costa Rica Incentive
• $1000 for the 15K Formula
• $3500 for the Masters Retreat

This is just too outrageous and I won’t ever recommend this program to anyone.

 

Final Thoughts

I won’t tag Empower Network as a scam per se since you can earn money from it. But it’s too overpriced and gives you stuff you can get online for free or a low cost. Plus the thought of paying for a website that`s not even yours… not worth it.

Here, you meet affiliates without manners, pay so much for nothing and with no free trial. If you are looking for an easy and flexible way to make money online, EN is definitely not a place to look at.

My suggestion would be to set up your own website, on a topic you enjoy. You will have the freedom to do what you want with your site, you get 100% control of your own site.
